Typically a weighted blanket should be around 10%-12% of your body weight plus a pound or two.

A throw weighted blanket measures 50” x 60” and with insert and cover weighs approximately 12.5 lbs (7.5lb insert) and 15.5lbs (10.5lb insert). Perfect for older kids and smaller adults. Not recommended for children 5 and under.
