Hey friends! Emily here with another fun recipe for you to try. These Bran Muffins have been one of my families favorite breakfast items since I started making them. They are healthy and delicious! Not to mention they keep in the fridge for up to 6 weeks! Try them out today, you will be so glad you did.
2 cups boiling water
2 cups bran buds
1 tbsp baking soda
2 tsp baking soda
1 cup crisco
2 cups sugar
1 quart buttermilk
5 cups flour
4 cups bran cereal
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Bring water to a boil. Remove from heat, add baking soda and Bran Buds.
- Mix the crisco, sugar and eggs together. Add buttermilk, flour, salt and All-Bran to the mixture.
- Combine all ingredients together and pour mixture into lightly greased muffin tins.
